You'll float through the hot days in this fun flirty tunic!
A classic open neck scoops down to a V in the back with a fun criss-cross detail ensuring everything stays in place (the back V is not low enough to expose your bra!). The sides are open with flowy extensions giving you great twirl-appeal.
Whereas this is long enough to be worn as a dress, the sides are open so just be aware - I'm wearing shorts under the white one in this video. (If you're wearing fabulous HCC panties maybe you can skip the shorts ๐.)
Lightweight rayon fabric is cool and breathable, flowing without ever being clingy.
I'm 5'4" wearing size XS, my measurements are bust 34" waist 27" hips 38.5".
100% Rayon. As always, I prewashed and dried the fabic before I cut it out so no surprises! Whereas I do put fabrics in the dryer the first time to get all the shrink out, rayon does not do well in the dryer over the long term so I recommend machine wash cold, hang dry. As with all tops, the best way to hang it is over a bar through the middle of the body, not from the shoulders on a hanger (which might create pull creases).
These fabrics are made in China, I got them through Montreal wholesaler Telio.
All my design and my sewing, as always! Some credit for this style can go to Marisa from D&D Meats (my neighbour at the Haliburton Farmers' Market) who loves my Rebecca Tunic so much she suggested I make a summer version, so here it is! Thanks Marisa โฅ
